ENVIRONMENT NETWORK

This document articulates the vision, aims and objectives of the Church Environmental network of the CPSA.

Vision:

To cherish the living planet that has been entrusted to us by our creator and to promote a more ecologically sustainable way of life.

Aim and objectives:

To assist the Churches in fulfilling their prophetic calling regarding environmental and economic issues by:

1.           Creating and encouraging environmental awareness and an appreciation of creation. 

2.           Empowering environmental action and responsibility.

3.           Providing environmental resource material. 

4.           Developing and disseminating worship resource material.

5.           Promoting environmental education.

6.           Collaborating with other environmental stakeholders.

7.           Supporting environmental and eco-justice projects.

8.           Speaking out and taking action against environmental and socio-economic injustice in institutions of governance and power.
